Call 218-248-7362 if you have questions, are having difficulty booking online or need additional information.

We feature 29 drive-through, full-hookup sites for large campers or RV's. With campsites that are 75 feet long, we have more space than any campground within 30 miles of Gilbert. We also have back-in sites, big-rig-friendly sites, small camper and tent sites. These are all great spots to set up camp while you explore the Mesabi Iron Range. Each site includes a fire pit and picnic table, plus 20, 30 or 50 amp electric. Many of our back-in sites have water and sewer.

Your Off-Roading Basecamp

We have four exclusive tent sites, two group tent sites (up to four tents per group site) and eight additional tent/small camper sites bordering wooded areas. Some have electric and others are rustic. All tent sites have nearby water for cooking. Restrooms or porta-potties are just a short walk. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic tables.

Tent Sites Available

Let us be your base-camp when you come to enjoy Minnesota's Off-Road Capital or any of our local attractions. We are family-owned since 2004 and provide a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of open space so you can roam about. We offer the best camping value in Gilbert!

Check-in is 3 p.m. / Check-out is 12 noon.

We allow up to 4 adults per campsite; additional guests are $5 per day per person. Children 15 years old and under always stay for free!

Our campground store is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 3-9 p.m.

We sell firewood, ice, camping supplies and have propane tank exchange available on site. We also rent outdoor games like ladder ball toss, beanbag toss/cornhole and bocce ball and individual tents, 10x10 canopies and other camping items by the day or for the weekend. Visit our campground store page for details and pricing.

Getting to the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area

West Forty RV Park has a short, unpaved connector trail just outside our campground entrance which connects directly to the Genoa Trail. The unpaved section of the Genoa Trail can be used by ATV's, OHMs and side-by-sides to get to the main connecting trail. Jeeps, Trackers, etc. can access a similar connector trail just outside our campground to the OHV park. There is no need to trailer vehicles to the Iron Range OHV park.
