Campground Office Hours
Our park office is staffed between 3 and 9 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On most weekends the owner is available at his on-site residence at site B-1. When the owner is not available, a phone number will be posted on the office hours sign to call for assistance from our assistant park host who lives within 10 minutes of the campground. Arrivals that are outside our office hours will have welcome packets left at the information kiosk as you enter the campground for self-check-in.

All reservations require a minimum one night deposit. A deposit will be refunded if cancelled at least 7 days prior to your arrival date, minus a $20.00 cancellation fee and $3.50 reservation fee.
Event weekend and holiday reservations - minimum stay requirements
Reservations for event weekends - Crawl 4 The Cure, etc. - require a 2-night minimum stay. All holiday weekend reservations including Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day require a 3-night minimum stay.
Site Lock Guarantee
Purchasing Site Lock during the reservation booking process is always an optional choice for our customers. You do not need to include this feature when booking, however, note that we reserve the right to change the location of a site selected if there is an operational need to move guests. On those rare occasions when we need to move a guest, we do our best to move the reservation to the most similar site available. (i.e. 30AMP drive-through with full hook-up to another 30AMP full hook-up site.)
We think of Site Lock as an insurance policy of sorts for our campers. Guests who purchase site lock will not be moved without compensation. If the exact campsite with site lock included in reservation is not available for any reason, we will refund 25% of the site rate for the duration of the stay and upgrade your site to a site with more/better amenities if one is available.
Maximum occupancy rules
All sites - group or individual - allow for up to four (4) adults 16 years old per site and older plus two drivable (non-ATV) vehicles per paid site is included in the campsite rate. Children 15 years old or under stay for free. Additional people over 16 will be charged $5 per person per day for all campsites.
Trailers and additional vehicles including cars, trucks and jeeps should be parked in the designated campground overflow parking to reduce congestion in the campground. Parking of vehicles in our overflow lot is free.
Two tents or one camper and one tent are allowed per standard site. Group sites have different allowances for number of tents or campers allowed per site as noted in the site comments section during the booking process.
No Outside Firewood
West Forty RV Park does not allow outside wood unless it has been certified by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture or the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. Construction wood is prohibited as well due to the increased embers produced by this type of wood which increases the risk of damage to the surrounding area or other campers in the campground.
Firewood for Sale On-Site
Approved local firewood is available for purchase on-site in the office or in advance at the time of booking. West Forty RV Park offers complimentary delivery of wood to your site when you pre-purchase it at the time of your reservation.
Campers can purchase firewood during office hours or they can drop off a firewood order slip in the office drop-box by 3 p.m. to have it charged to their campsite account for delivery by early evening.
We monitor DNR fire danger on a weekly basis. Generally, campfires within our campground are allowed when contained in the fire-rings we provide. We will update campers about any burning restrictions at the time of check-in.
Pets
West Forty RV Park loves pets and we are a dog-friendly campground. We believe that all dogs can be either well-mannered or aggressive at any time. The ultimate responsibility for pet behaviors falls on their owners. We encourage all to be aware of how their fur family members respond in a camping environment with many people and pets from different backgrounds.
Owners are required to pick up after your pet. We have a dog waste bag station located at our office. Please do your part to help us keep our campground clean and free of pet waste which can spread diseases to other pets or people. Pets must be leashed at all times when they are outdoors per Gilbert City ordinance. Complaints of excessive barking will result in one warning for the owners. Multiple complaints of excessive barking may result in being asked to leave the campground without refund.
We also know that some dogs can be aggressive around strangers. Aggressive breeds of dogs must be kept inside your camper/RV or accompanied by an adult at all times. Aggressive breeds are those with the following genetic lines: Mastiffs, Rottweilers, Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies, Doberman Pinschers, Akitas, Chow Chows, German Shepherds, Great Danes, Pit Bull Terriers, Bulldogs and Wolf-hybrids. Any reports of dog aggression towards people will result in eviction from the campground without a refund.
Quiet time
Quiet time at West 40 RV Park is 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and midnight to 8 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Quiet times will be enforced by the on-site park host. Failure to honor quiet time may result in eviction from the campground without refund.
