There is always something to do during the camping season in Gilbert or in the other nearby Quad Cities of Eveleth, Mountain Iron or Virginia. As we hear of new popular events, we add them to our online calendar below. 2026 Events Calendar
- May 1 campground opens for our 22nd season
- May 14 glamping tent-cabins and rental camper open for the season
- May 22-25 Memorial Day weekend
- June 10-14 Ladies Rock Off-Road (LROC) Women's Weekend of Wheeling - MN4WDA event
- July 1-5 Independance Day week in Gilbert and surrounding towns
- July 16-19 Crawl for the Cure weekend
- July 31-August 2 Minnesota Land Rovers annual picnic/weekend
- August 6-9 Minnesota CampOut weekend/Iron Range Pride
- August 13-16 Trail Jam weekend - MN4WDA event
- September 4-7 Labor Day weekend
- October 2-4 Rock Rash - MN4WDA event; last weekend of glamping tent-cabin rentals
- October 12 - water shut off to campsites for the winter. We will continue to be open for our seasonal/monthly campers only. A water filling station is available at the campground office and the restroom/shower building will continue to be open until the end of the season.
- October 14 - winter storage move-in appointments begin.
- October 22 - last day of daily, weekly, weekend camping.
- October 31 - seasonal camper move out day. This is the last day for seasonal campers on to be on camground property. Our bathroom building closes at 10 a.m. and campground gates will lock at 2 p.m.
